Khayalan Jumaat…..

Lari lari kakiku lari…
Titisan embun menitis pipi
Pergi tiada kembali…
Angin hembusan pagi

Nafas..adakah dikau masih berada?
Pertama kali kita bertemu disana
Rindu mengamati hatiku
Hela hela aku biarkan

Sentuhan lalang di jari manisku
Sentuhan pasir di hujung tapakku
Sinaran suam lepasi mataku

Sayu sayu jeritan kecilku
Sepi sepi dalam fikiran ku
Adakah dikau mungkin kembali
Mungkin tidak mungkin ya…

Lalu kau pulang
Bukan bersamaku…..
Bingung aja kau buatku
Serabut dibuatku…

Jejak kaki ulang kembali
Di tempat dikau bersepi
Hatiku bertaut hatimu
Harapan untuk ketemu…
Bukan tentuanku….

Inspirasi buat semata-semata…

Japan Trip~ Useful Tips for Travel

  1. FOOOOOD!!

Whenever I travel, there is the issue of finding halal food in other countries which is not that easy like Malaysia, Indonesia or other SE Asia countries.

When I travel to other countries I tend to eat more seafood since no need halal la kan that one.. but it can be boring and sometimes overkilled till I cannot telan already…

One of the apps that was introduced to me when I was in Japan was this awesome food app:

2016-02-29_14h48_36.jpg

Halal Gourmet Japan is where you can find restaurants or food in Japan with selection of options like Halal sign, muslim owned, Wi-Fi connection, you can even select areas that you will be like I was in Odaiba and didn’t know of options to eat, thus I saw 1 buffet restaurant it’s not entirely halal but they serve halal meats and indication on the food labels so you wouldn’t consume pork for eg.

This app is very useful, even the Muslim Japanese uses them and Msia students whom I’ve met along the way recommended me this godsent app. However do bear in mind not all halal eateries are listed, so do walk around sometimes you may find a hidden halal gem in Japan.

Another wonderful thing about Japan is their FOOOOD HALLS! located mostly at basements of supermarkets, or shopping malls. Their food halls slalu ader sample, so if lapar – lapar can just walk around as customers and have a try, SAPE TAK SUKA try try makaaaan!! korang rugi ok! kalau da suka sedap baru belikan! Sg-reans are always KIASU, so this is definitely worth going!

2. Travelling Ez-link in Tokyo (SUICA Card)

This is exactly like your EZ-link. It is prepaid and you can use it to tap into their different JR/Toei Lines. So if it has value you can just tap in and tap out no need buy train tickets.

The card also bole beli bende k! Like buying stuff at convenient stores or something just like our EZ -link or like vending machines ke.. So awesome and the logo is a Penquin..like happy feet so cute la! Just look out of these signs to use them;

Senang kan, basically Japan is like Singapore but just different language and of coz sorry eh org dorang lagi berbudi bahasa..takde KBKB KNN semua takde…

Like previously we asked for directions and we asked if they spoke English. Most of them cam tak bole bual sangat la..but SOOOO BERBSAR HATI, bawak kita to the restaurant or kedai that we wanted to go eventhough they were heading to the station already and it is quite a walk! SUNGGUH BANYAK berbudi bahasa…cuba ah tanya kat SG kene stare or ignored..irrits…

Will be talking about my JAPAN work trip in the next entry which I found some interesting finds bahahahah…

Japan HoneyMoon ~ Flights/Transfers

Ok la I have a few excited wives and btbs whom wanted to know how I planned for Japan trip…so I shall keep mysef busy writing this post dari tido dalam train otw to work!

Firstly let’s talk about flights and accommodation since these are the two items that are taking the bulk of the holiday costings.

So I started sourcing the flights and accommodation quite late in June or July 2015 six months before honeymoon. For destinations such as Japan it is waaay better to get flights way way ahead of time 10 months or so pun bole..coz international flights are usually booked for year end due to businesses and tours.

I recce on these 3 airlines for pricing:
1) Japan Airlines
2) All Nippon
3) Singapore Airlines

giphy (1).gif

Personally I still prefer Singapore Airlines in terms of comfort la, pricing wise JAL has the cheapest fares. I would also recommend to just book an International airline as baggage, food and comfort is confirmed. At this point, since the flight was in December, even the budget airlines were as expensive as the International carriers. In total i spent about SGD2.2k for 2 pax with JAL.

For Budget airlines

You may research on Scoot or Air Asia, they have deals as well which is super awesome. SCOOT deals is usually Tuesday morning, so watch out for that k!

Another airline which I rase munasabah is also Malaysia Airlines la. Affordable jugak and putting the scares of the recent accidents with MH, prices to Japan is worthwhile. Cuma kita nak kene redha je la ajal maut di tangan Tuhan ye kawan kawan….

Airport landing

This is the difference of airports. Tokyo has two international airports and not all airlines travel to both airports. First is Narita where all airlines that heads to Tokyo lands. BUT!!! Narita is much much further to travel to Central Tokyo. It takes 90 mins(1.5 hours) via their bullet train/taxi/limousine bus.
Second is  Haneda Airport, my favourite airport. Why?! Cos firstly, it is not as busy as Narita, it is about 45 minutes to Central Tokyo via whatever transport!. Customs and immigration is easier and faster to clear here.

Car Transfers

Since I am quite pampered, I usually take the cab to hotels that I am staying, and since this AIRBNB that I choose was unfamiliar cab was a much safer choice! There is a trick to having cheaper cab fares, I paid for about SGD 90 but I guess it is worthwhile I can sleep, drink and eat in the cab, with complimentary WIFI, and also Meet & Greet Session is available. The trick is……..to PREBOOK your transfer. Yes, in Japan if you prebook, there will be so called fixed rates which is much cheaper than hailing a cab. You may use this awesome COMPANY that I always used in my work travels to Japan. MK TAXI
Sebaik jugak la booked a cab, I came down with high fever and when I landed I was hit with Vertigo! yang buat aku cam in a moving Ship over strong waves, rabak seh!! So thank goodness I need not have to drag all my luggages through Public transport.

Trains
You can catch the trains to Shinagawa Station which is Central Tokyo as well. Here is the link to understanding train transfers from Haneda Airport Keikyu Line

Limousine Bus

Limousine bus is the same you may find out the details via Haneda Airport website as well. Usually this is much cheaper option la. Limousine bus usually drop at Major hotels or areas so you can check with them.

Always make sure you have your address ready as this is required by Immigration also taking the public/car transfers allow you to communicate for directions better. Get the Japanese version as well for easier communication.

Ok la, this is just the 1st step to many more of my Honeymoon planning…..nanti saya continue k..now weekends nak balik and rest k!

31 Days Away~Ala Emaaak Kahwin kan AKUU

We are at 1 month notice sooon! Initially Mr.A and I wanted to pantang and not meet for a month however due to circumstances, I have a BFF wedding on 28/29 November that pantang has to wait!

Yes this is my Ahmad Aizat, guy BFF, da la BFF nak kahwin sama year and 2-3 weeks apart lak tu… but this mamat here is my most kentals Bff whom I have gone thru hardships together…..I’m happy he has met his queen to spend his rest of his life with 🙂

The fact as well when we met the first thing was, “HOW MANY BACH NITES YOU HAVE LAAAA?! 30 IS IT?” Ok chill la dude, that is why you are a guy and I am a girl…perangai siak this mamat..make so much noise for what…kentals kan…

We are such Bobo Pengantin to be…couldnt care less keep eating from heavy meals to desserts…amek kau!

For him lak, his sacrifice was he could not go honeymoon until after my wedding! Bahahaha….delayed honeymoon! sorry but well what are BFFs for right?! Countdown for us both!

Next on agenda was the dulang items, what am I giving to Mr.A;
1) Neutrogena products
2) Iron man cufflinks
3) Belt & wallet set, tie
4) Customised ring
5) Perfume
6) Shoes – haven’t buy!
7) Chocs
8) cupcakes
9) sejadah and alquran

Banyak jugak eh aku nak kasi, but well I am quite a practical girl, I do not spend anything above $100 because it is comfort and familiarity first before anything else like brands. All items are all his loved items and his choice especially comfort because this tunang here is quite particular la..tak suka tak akan pakai or touched!

So again, mama-in-law is doing all the dulangs, I am very thankful for that, Amin! She is doing my flower bouquet, dulangs for both sides and the sireh dara/junjung…My mama-in-law pampers me alot but alhamdullilah we have been on good terms. I will doa for this harmonious relationship till eternity…

It is a supeeeeer busy few weeks for these BTBs!

Shall update soon laa when the weekend is over with all the fun and squeals of the girls! hehe

Wedding hadangs + silat

Ok nari kan..mood nak membebel terlebih sikit ah!

After last week’s experience with wedding…this topic came to mind, pasal hadangs and silat…

Would BTBs discuss with family members pasal how many hadangs is allowed or da pre-warn family first..coz memang ah nak meriahkan majlis tapi kalau da sampai terlebih hadang like 5/6 gantry tak melampau….it’s wasting time yang kita tahu we have an itinerary to follow or kesiankan pihak lelaki kan…
Sampul pun prepare brape aje kadang2 1st gantry je dabes…then nak gy rempuh lagy gantry yg still waiting…

So for my perceptive im not a bridezilla but yes i would discuss with my family like look, this is how many hadang je I allow you guys to do…main point is everyone has fun..second bridesmaid discussion..I still remember when I was on bridesmaid duty..we seek approval of my gf and her family of what we planned to do…2 pun dapat rejection coz parents say nak hadang bole but jgn la menyusahkan pihak lelaki sampai nak kene joget or stuff..so we respected that and proceeded with pantun balas membalas! Whoi testing my malay laaa..

Then pasal silat pun sama…ive seen silat sampai 10 mins!! Hahaha kesian pengantin terpinga2 nak salam lain nak tgk ngn muka senyum lain… sampai naik penat tgk…

So yeaaa nie la my membebel moment..so am I wrong to feel agitated or bitchy kalau hadang plus silat da sampai 20 mins??? But its just my 2 cents worth of thoughts….

AKS having promo!!

So here’s a short advert…Akrab Kompang is collaborating with a photography company;

image

FuegoArts Photography with a Promo price OF $1600!! Soo the cheaap can…of coz there are some conditions applied.. so if interested! Email: Akrab Kompang for more details!

Click click Photobooth!

Ok da lama tak blog coz I have been busy for the past weekends with alot of work and weddings… and of coz preps!

So I da managed to find the most suitable caterer for fiancè…Dia nye dad yang the fussy one…as an indian muslim…briyani die must be the proper briyani taste and texture! Thankfully I went to a friend’s wedding and she briyani dam served! Walaupun lauk die super minimal takde variety! i tell you it was puas hati…i can literally jus eat the briyani without adding other dishes! So Mohd. Shah Catering and Services was the final choice for the FIL….finally 2nd vendor down for fiancè..

Next is the question for photobooth….i have been searching high and low for a suitable one… Firstly the question of nak DIY ke nak use a vendor… Then the prob is vendors which are the good ones???I thought i found the 1 but bile i enquire it was hmmmm annoying..i find this request where i have to get the extension from deco for them…

This is very merepek for me because for once you are a vendor…why cant you invest on your own extensions for yourselves…secondly we did not pay the decos to provide you with extension..nanti pape jadi like short circuit ke aper ke..who are you going to blame…and i seriously do not see professionalism in that…yes it is a simple request..but i just think as a vendor you should have your equipments from a-z!

Then I have seen the hoohaaas of wishing wand which everyone is using…but i have been personally involved with my friend’s wedding as a bridesmaid..and sungguh dissappointed with them! I would have expected more props from them since konon-konon nye they are the pioneer so they would have up the game…but props die je da minimal…and not as much as what i expexted…and the guestbook questions were always repeated causing the greetings being quite stagnant…

So I am left with no clue which photobooth vendors are around with quality yet affordable…BTBs! Feeeeedback and opinions pleaaase!!

Wedding Research Part 1

Well whenever I need a break from work.. I would start googling for ideas for the Wedding… I have been fantasizing since I was small of what a dream wedding feels like…

In Singapore it is not as cheap relatively due to the ever inflations of EVERYTHING…and thus wedding vendors needta hike up their packages to earn a decent living…

My Personal tips on finding the right vendor:
1) Identify your needs first whether you want a HUGE overthe top wedding..a normal AVERAGE wedding or the most basic nikah/kenduri wedding
2) This leads to you guiding your budget and be committed in saving for such costs
3) Identify your idea of a wedding (themes/colours/quantity)
4) Don’t jump the wagon search for vendors…do your homework on prices…evaluate all vendors and their workmanship
5) This is very IMPORTANT! Google on your vendor and look out for signs of fishyness..bad reviews lack of publicity..too vague and when you do not feel good about such vendor..DONT push further…
6) When enquiring always be humble and polite…if vendors are sincere in their business..response time and the way they reply to your queries plays a HUGE part….most importantly when you feel there is chemistry with them…

Here is just my 2cents worth of thoughts…i have been researching on vendors for many years and analyse the market for past time hobby…yes my hobby is to go to wedding fairs..coz konon nye 1 day nak jadi Wedding Planner…so this is what i personally feel when exploring vendors….step in when you have knowledge coz if you dont you might end up being EATEN ALIVE by dishonest vendors…
