#1 Mommy’s journey for a Preemie

Eversince the birth of Sumayyah in my life..it has been an emotional rollercoaster ride and a physically challenged journey…

As prepared as I am caring for a baby since I have babysitted alot of nephews/nieces and cousins…I was not prepared for a preemie with a whole new route and destinations…

The first day I have gotten to see her was the third day after I have given birth before I was discharged…I couldn’t hold back my tears of joy and of sadness too because I cannot bring my baby back…I couldn’t kiss & hold her and say “Its ok baby…Mummy is here!” She has learned to be independant the moment she came out and the thought that my baby would cry and I am not there makes me felt pain and guilty…

The reason why we label Preemies as fighters and lil warriors….they have to go through some major alone time while some are fighting their lives to different issues such as not able to breathe on their own…very low birth weight..gestational problems…heart probs and many many issues associated with Preemies

Alhamdullilah Mayyah only setback was, she couldn’t breathe on her own yet 100%, needing oxygen support but at its minimal level of 21%. Not at full term when lungs are strong enough, she does forget to breathe at times coz in the womb they need not have to breath through their noses.

Supposedly Mummy rest as much and be on pantang for 44 days or 40 at most. This is when Mummies get to really rest not to do much chores or cooking, as much as possible to eat sleep and feed their LO(lil one). As lucky that I am able to pantang at my mum’s place but I did not have the luxury.. Everyday routine is to pump my super little breastmilk for Mayyah, breakfast, pump, lunch, zohor, pack and travel to hospital, come back and pump, dinner and pump and sleep.

I was crawling the 1st 10 days after discharge because c-section was still effing painful and my body was extremely weak. The travel to hospitals was too tiring but I had to push on..That is why I appreciate Mothers more…that strength Allah give Mummies to presevere no Man can go through…that love for your tiny human being is bigger than the love a father could give..you would literally move the world if you have to..being in the shoes of Mothers..

Everyday visit to hospital is updates from nurses I learn the hospital jargons quickly and did alot of reading on Preemies..no one will give you information as most of your friends do not have Preemies. I had to provide positive aura everytime I am around Mayyah coz they can detect the negativity and health can deteriorates faster than a speed of a bullet. Not having Akbar around most days because he was busy with work make me handle post pregnancy alone… I had to suck it in and put my emotions aside every time I visit Mayyah…doing a split 360 personality change when I enter NICU daily could probably make me win Grammy Awards of the year…

Anything for her…well she is still in NICU and is about 36 days already…I never knew when she will be out but is always praying for my baby girl to be discharged soon.

Today I decided to take MC just to rest I have been running around and getting all tired because I am the planner and incharge of my own wedding…parents were more in charge for makan and that’s it..

I have been wanting to do flower bath of my own! Instead of spending it on a spa…so i did DIY flower bath! Yeaaaaay! Mandi bungaaa first time….

Got the flowers from pasar for a total of $2.80….muraaah la sangaaat!!!

1 baldi bungaaaa! I prepared this outside the toilet with Selawat Nabi while ramas-ing the bunga and the air pouring in…very nice..ader orchids..sunflower…chrysthemums..sunflowers and roses…
Since it was after the rain the.more nikmat the air felt..cold and refreshing!!

I also had my scrub…to go along with the mandi bunga…
While i did my flower bath…i ramas the flowers and with the scrub..all over the body face and all! Dalam hati sambil niat and selawat all the way….

It was soooo refreshing and a good bath masya allah…flowers does make you happy and it felt very good….

You can mix with abit of susu also if you want! So smoothen your skin…goood right ..DIY SPA daaay..

Aftermath of it! A glowing self…

Dont mind my baju butterfly im a keen wearer of it…I had rosy cheeks after the bath hehehe….

And please BTBs do take care of your health…i was terribly sick a few days ago..and the pressure is piling up..but dont forget solat and all…insya allah you will be stronger…all this are jus bisikan syaitan…

Try laaa mandi bunga sendiri!

Hari ini..takde wedding related! Cuma hal kisah tudung! When I came back from Jakarta previously I bought plenty of tudungs back…I do not don the tudung but insya allah in the future…

The reason i bought so many is because i bought this instant tudung which is easier to belit without much fuss!

So i have sold of completely the balance of tudungs that i am left with..
Alhamdullilah..i sold it off pun takde la mahal it was at $10 je…

Sooo i was thinking should i continue to bring in tudungs or not for side income… hmmmm…

Diet and Exercise~Bleargh!!

I have about 11 months to lose these BABATS of mine plus thunder thighs..

All because I have been very inactive over the years..I used to be a 65kg girl and now i have put on 30kg more…scary but true all because I am sitting down all day! And no exercise..makan sikit pun takde beza tetap gain weight…Main reason because of water retention! So all these impact a very unhappy self…

So this year 2015..azam nak lose weight..not because of kahwin but also because of wanting to be healthy..

I have started eating clean foods like for eg. Greek Yoghurt, salads, more vegs and lesser carbo!

So let’s see if it really helps!!! So what are your other dieting tips! Coz water retention is crazy! I need to really sweat it out….

Wedding Cakes ~ Sort of done

Alhamdullilah..My wedding cake after much trying to figure out good wedding bakers..
I have a friend who is sponsoring the cake for me…She said she will get it from her own wedding baker whom she engaged last time or from another wonderful talented baker, Suhaimi Yusoff’s wife..totally forgot she does baking as well… I couldn’t be more grateful for this present and am very thankful for this.

Well that is off my mind for now but i have other stuff to settle..i still cannot believe lagi 11 bulan kepe till my wedding DATE!!

And everytime i do shoot for Akrab nowadays, i lebih tengok pengantin dari concentrate video shoot eh..I sooo cannot help it..Taking some ideas on hair accessories, makeup details..daydream pasal my own wedding..pfft! perangai perangai….

O wells…so babes! what are you up to…and i HOPE semua checklist is ticking off from yours…

Kad Invitations – Vendor

So I am a frequent JB visitor sebab my uncle is a malaysian and we always visit him and do our shopping across the border.

One of the factors I wanted was to have my cards printed in Msia instead and taking advantage of the exchange rate kan bole save sikit duit. Their designs have also reached standards and are even nicer compared to Singapore.

I am particularly in love with one of the vendors that my Uncle recommended. He of coz would not know this company popular ke tak. To him is its nearby and cheap and that’s all. So he send us to this shop, its called Kad Lawo . Apparently, they have been used by Farid Kamil and Diana Danielle and very famous for young couples in Msia. Al-kisah nye……

I look at the website and omg! they are not just printing cards. They are PRO in other customisations such as paper bags, stickers, tags, boxes, different sizes of invitations. Very creative and clean designs.

So i obviously have chosen them. Of coz there have been many other vendors of cheaper rates you can get in JB nevertheless i prefer them due to the friendliness and customer service. I came to their shop at 10 plus in the morning and they were cleaning up the shop but the gals were very sweet and welcoming, explained the selection and is always ready to answer your questions. So i make a downpayment of RM50 (murah kan nak downpayment) to book the package I have selected.

So my package comes with:
– 500 invitation cards
– four sided rectangle
– colour printing, higher paper weight
-1 bunting
-2 directional arrows
In total, it will be about SGD 230 for all. So i am very pleased with it, as in Singapore for a card according to your selera is between 50cents and above. So that would be more than what I am paying without any additional printings like bunting or directional sign.

However do more research on JB printing. There are better shops with competitive pricings that you can definitely get it better than Singapore. JB is like my second home and I have no problems going back and forth so the reason why I basically do most of my shopping there 🙂 🙂

So after my busy busy periods in November! I will be visiting my videographer soooon in December! 🙂
Will update on that once i have meet my lovelies…yeaaays!!!

12 September and its Present!

12 September was our mini family session of Merisik cum Engagement…I do not know why but huge engagements were never my dream since young and i do not get it..culturally despite yes it is a colourful culture of its traditions and ways…i just deem that it was unneccessary and a waste of $$$.

I did not take leave for this special day..was working till evening when they were suppose to arrive at 7.30pm… It was kinda rushed I had to prepare the last minute preps and get ready for their arrival…

The feeling was super exciting!! I was like  O M Gee!! Im becomin someone’s fiancee in a few more minutes..I was in my baju kurung..getting ready..

Busy whatsapping my friends…multi tasking! And all till 5 minutes before they reached! Feeling hungry tired and abit cranky i was probably one of the most chilled most weird fiancee ever! Waiting in the room watching tv! Audio messaging with my kekek friends! Whatsapping my bf and sis with whats happening outside!
1/2 hr later..my sis came in! Thought it was not done still watching TV! she stared at me! And i was like what?! She stared at me back and “Harlow! Time to go out la!” … *bimbo moment la sangat…perangai abis!

And so all the sarung cincin happen!

Took looads of photo! And yes it was all over..and they had a feast! While i was busy taking more photos! And then back to the kitchen to take care of logistics! *cuci pinggan mangkuk babe!

And we are OFFICIALLY ENGAGED!! Alhamdullilah da selesai..it was easy and fuss free less than $500 spend..Everyone was happy…and it ended on well…syukur alhamdullilah..

Now the Express service of preps are ongoing!! Let’s do this!

5 more days to Mini Affair….

It is about 5 more days to having our small mini affair of meet the parents session as well as the exchanging of engagement rings or “promise” rings!!

Did our last minute shopping in JB yesterday and yea! It was soo tiring….well the reason why I did my shopping in JB is due to the fact that I am taking advantages of conversion rates and of coz the vast variety of different items needed for a malay cultured wedding preps…

Choice of Jeweller is Habib Jewellery…of coz there are other Jewellers around such as Wah Chan Jeweller located at Angsana Shopping Mall…

Being prompt shoppers we did quite abit of all within a day and there isnt any delays..Alhamdullilah…

FTB was being so understanding…when choosing the ring the fact that it has to be gold as requested by his mom…he compromised that I can choose the design since I was wearing it…I did my choice something unique that the sales lady mentioned not many bought it as they do not know how to wear it on which direction! And my sis was spot on…she said…haish its difficult when she loves unique stuff!

And that ring was my exact choice! Like i said the newer generation hates wearing gold coz it looks MAKCIK-ish (outdated old woman’s fashion)…and would prefer diamond’s ring! But well sometimes you just have to compromise situations….

So abit more shopping to exchange dulangs (engagement presents) and I am so done for Friday’s preps! 🙂
